Idyllic countryside – the gateway to Poel Island

The Schäfereck in the small town of Groß Strömkendorf was refurbished in 2000 as a family hotel in the country house style. Nature lovers and families can set out from here on foot, by bike or on horseback to explore the surrounding area. After an eventful day guests can find peace and comfort in the 37 rooms.

Delicious cuisine under a thatched roof

Head chef Maik Tramm spoils our hungry guests with delicious country cuisine, served alongside coffee and cake in the restaurant or on the spacious outdoor terrace.

Unwind and relax

For outings in the surrounding area we rent bicycles or arrange charabanc rides and sailing trips. In addition, we will organise bowling or skittles evenings, and book tennis or squash courts on your behalf. Relax in the hotel’s own fitness room, sauna or solarium.

For conferences and events the Hotel Schäfereck offers a range of rooms and facilities such as the cosy Schäferstuben (shepherd’s rooms).
